Each item is uniquely created and sewn by Octavie Kanga using vibrant Congolese fabric. Octavie was a member of the first graduating class from the Maman Sandra Gourdet Vocational Training Center in Bolenge Village of the Democratic Republic of Congo.

Through the microcredit and savings program of Global Ministries partner, Community of the Disciples of Christ in the Congo, these handmade items are an opportunity for women to earn an income and provide for their families. The proceeds received support microcredit initiatives of Global Ministries partners.
